Take Your Company Public OTCBB: S1, 211 Here Is What You Need To Know

So many companies dream of going public both as a growth and exit strategy but unfortunately few succeed with this process. The third party audit, sponsoring of the S1 and 211 by a market maker and SEC comments stage is just one of the obstacles involved with taking a company public. The attempt at going public and actually achieving a symbol are two entirely different things and if you are lucky enough to achieve a symbol there’s a completely separate area of expertise needed to keep your stock trading and to preserve a company’s longevity in the marketplace.

Here are some things you need to keep in mind when gearing up to take your company public. Forget everything that you’ve read and heard and pay attention to what you’re about to read because this is the straight forward, objective reality of the process. First, do not hire an attorney to take you public as they will take you on a long drawn out process to get as many billable hours as possible, instead, hire a consulting firm whose sole business model is to take companies public and take advantage of the relationships that they have with attorneys. This is the first rule: hire a consulting firm that offers a complete A to Z turn-key solution for taking a company through the process of going public, achieving a symbol and preserving the trade with a solid, ongoing post public investor relations strategy.

Don’t try to venture out into these waters on your own as you’ll be diving into shark infested waters and you’ll almost certainly fail.

Must Watch Movies Online: El Topo

El Topo, by Alexandro Jodorowsky, is perhaps one of the strangest, most beautiful, and most bizarre western films ever made, if not the most bizarre film ever created period. The next time you’re in the mood to watch movies online, if you want something a little different (well, actually, quite a bit different) from the norm, give El Topo a try.

The movie follows El Topo, a black hat gunfighter who goes out with his young son to avenge the death of the mother. As the movie opens, El Topo has his son bury a picture of the mother, symbolically saying goodbye to his childhood and becoming a man. The two travel across the desert on horseback in search of vengeance.

After exacting their revenge, the father abandons the boy to the church before going back into the desert with his new lover. The woman insists that he kill the top four killers in the desert before she can love him, as such that she can truly be with the strongest man. They wander the sands for at least a decade trying to seek out all four of these men.

Each of the four killers is a fascinating character. One is attended to by a pair of handicapped people. One with no legs, who sits on the shoulders of one with no arms. Another of the killers is an old man who deflects bullets with a butterfly net, while another is a strong man who is capable of building incredibly delicate, ornate objects out of toothpicks.

Eventually, El Topo must search for redemption after his girlfriend betrays him, putting him in a coma. He stays in a mountain for several years and wakes up to don a priestly robe and shave his head and become a saint. He hopes to repent for his sinful past, but must first find the capacity for forgiveness within his own soul.

Topo eventually reunites with his adult son, and learns that putting him in the church’s hands did not, in fact, spare him a life of difficulties, and that challenges and violence will hound you no matter who you are or what your background.

The movie touches on so many pieces of symbolism from so many religions that the end result is a bizarre, sort of Andy Warhol-esque mish mash of religions that becomes its own, unique entity. Nobody but the director can pick up on every piece of symbolism in the film, so it’s best to simply enjoy it for what it is.

El Topo carries an incredibly surreal, eerie feeling. It will shock you, enlighten you, entertain you, educate you and repulse you. It’s a story about love and hate, revenge and redemption, and while the trailer may have been taking it a bit far when it declared that the movie will be the single greatest experience you ever have in your life, the fact remains that it’s a darn great film.
